Janice Johnson

Janice Johnson is a native Oklahoman, born in Vinita and raised in Tulsa. She received her B.S in elementary education from Northeastern Oklahoma State University and her M.S and Ed.D. from Oklahoma State University. She is a retired professor emeritus from the University of Central Oklahoma where she taught for almost 30 years. She co-created the graduate degree in early childhood education at UCO and served as curriculum coordinator and graduate student advisor for the program for many years. During her tenure at the university, she taught and supervised scores of teachers-in-training and continued to mentor them as they began their careers and assumed their teaching responsibilities. The mother of two remarkable women, Janice and her husband, Billy, reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
